Hello, I'm Sarah!

I am a graduate of Xavier University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design. As an incoming Xavier freshman I was awarded the McAuley Scholarship which was a half-tuition scholarship covering a four-year baccalaureate degree program.

 I had college internships with Doth Brands, Sweaty Bands, Xavier University Athletics Department and ProCamps Worldwide. I was hired by Candle-Lite in 2015, which is now called Luminex Home Decor & Fragrance, in the area of package design. I was their Senior Graphic Designer.

I am now a full-time freelance designer. My freelance experiences include design projects for companies such as Kammerer Sales Company, The Boys & Girls Club, Xavier University, Ryan's Pub, GSE Soccer, Adams Family Law, Karen Carns Foundation, Cassady Schiller CPAs & Advisors, and The Cincinnati Shakespeare Company. In addition, I have designed wedding invitations, company logos, websites, paintings, portraits, business cards and funeral programs for personal contacts. 

Here are a few interesting facts about myself: 

1. One of my favorite downtime activities is sketching and doing portraits of family members and friends. 

2. I love playing sports, especially volleyball, soccer, and tennis.

3.  My favorite color is blue  and my go-to ice cream flavor is black raspberry chip (Graeter's, of course). 

4. I surround myself with family, friends, and co-workers.

5. I enjoy watching NFL football (Go Bengals) and NHL Hockey (Go Sabres).

6. Walloon Lake, Michigan is my favorite place in the world. I go there every summer!

7. I married my best friend, Peter Schmitt, in December 2019.

8. I have a golden retriever named Hudy!

9. We had our first son, PJ, on December 29, 2022 and is our whole world + the cutest little man!
